Patter Welded Suontaka

This sword is sword is a re-creation of the historical grave sword unearthed in Suontaka. The blade is pattern welded 1080/15n20/80CrV2 high carbon steel, and has been hardened and tempered. Guard and pommel are sculptural quality silicon bronze. Pommel is hot peened to the tang. The scabbard has a wood core with leather covering and bronze fittings..

This sword and scabbard was a custom commissioned set and is not available. A similar set could be made for approximately $5000.
